The ancient and exclusive ability to control and harness one’s Lifesource X is a skill handed down from specialized mentors to their dedicated students. Their skill and advanced tactics allow one to unlock their truest and most raw potential. Life source X has been thus far divided into three known concrete categories of the Storm, Purity, and Chaos collections. Each collection is unique to itself and must be studiously studied to unlock even a small section of the available knowledge within the collection itself. Once a faunid has begun their journey into a specific collection, there is no going back.
If you are familiar with RPG games like Skyrim, The Witcher, and Undertale where you play as a character, do quests, battle monsters, and gain EXP (experience points) then you may find this system familiar. Rather than using a controller to get you through quests, you will instead draw or write in order to gain points! You will be required to do set prompts but are welcome to do additional creative prompts listed in the “unniversal” category at the bottom of the page if you are short on the amount of points you have.
Your skill level in art will not affect how many points you gain, as everyone is compared to their own gallery/portfolio. A more experienced artist will not have any advantage over a newbie artist; everyone levels up the same way.
Learning to Imbue Your Lifesource X
Storm
"Back for more, huh? Good to see you hangin’ in there! I have a few tasks you can complete to keep learning. It’s important to keep up your training, both physically and mentally that way you don’t get swept up in the storm! Keep pushing, and don’t be afraid to ask for help!?"
The Storm collection relies on understanding and harnessing the elements around us. In order to begin you’ll need to immerse yourself in the natural world and see the transfer of Lifesource X in action. Tempest has a lot of hand written journals scattered around consisting of his own observations, and will task you to begin noting down your own thoughts and experiences by immersing yourself in the elements. Watch as lightning may set a tree ablaze, or feel the currents of a nearby river push and pull around you.
After documenting your understanding of Lifesource X, bring your findings back to Tempest. Find what element calls strongest to you, and your mentor will begin teaching you the basics of harnessing your newfound abilities. Tempest can be a bit of a harsh critic at first, but aims to encourage you to keep trying. You will start small, and results won’t be immediate. The elements are wild and unpredictable, and you will be monitored closely in the beginning.
Mind and body now strengthened, your hard work has begun to pay off! Tempest will give you a series of trials to show what all you’ve learned. There will be no help from him this time, however. Tempest serves to see your unique growth and connection to Lifesource X, and if need be, shut things down if you cannot control your abilities. If you aren’t ready to progress, you will be instructed to once again immerse yourself in the elements and strengthen your connection to Lifesource X.
You’ve passed the tests given to you! You may now take what you’ve learned and continue about your normal life, but now forever changed with your knowledge of manipulating the forces around you. Take care in knowing your limits, the storm ever rages on.

Oh! Hello there. I see you’ve returned. You’ve got a long journey ahead of you, my friend. However, I will be alongside you throughout your entire journey. You don’t have to struggle alone. Let us begin!
Purity
Before you are even allowed near any equipment, you will be required to read up on the history of this collection and the dangers associated with it. Whether you’re new to it or an experienced veteran, it’s important to have this knowledge locked in your brain. Study up! You’ll be questioned by your mentor on everything you Should be studying.
Start practicing your desired skill. Sure you’ll fail…. A lot. But you have to keep trying till you can finally prove to your mentor that you are able to harness your Lifesource X in a controlled manner. Abel is easy to impress but hard to convince. Even when you think you have your skill under control, things can go wrong fast!
You have studied and practiced your chosen skill and now it is time to prove it. Show off what you can do and try to be confident! Or at least pretend to be. Abel will be judging your performance critically and monitoring your safety precautions and mental preparedness. If you fail this, prepare for more books to be thrown your way.
The final test is that of the reality check. Now that you’ve learned how to imbue part of the purity collection, it’s time to use it in real life. Good luck and be safe!
Chaos
You think you’re able to handle what tasks lay before you? It will be difficult and there is no backing out. Without following through, you will be left scarred physically and mentally with no benefits. If you are sure about this, the trials will start promptly.
This collection is filled with pain and strenuous activity. Every skill will test you emotionally and physically. There is no doubt you will bleed, cry, scream, or barely make it out alive. Allowing Chaos X to reemerge from the ancient depths of your genetic code is painful and draining as you attempt to urge it to crawl to the surface of your skin. And once it does, it makes itself known by means of bloodied flesh and mortal wounds.
Healed from the emergence of your newly acquired Lifesource X, Cain will now begin to “teach” you how to reliably bring your X to the surface for consistent use. The chaotic magic is easily lured through means of blood. Whether that be your own or someone else’s. This is never taught outright and will be something you learn along the way. By the time you understand how to summon your newfound skills, your surroundings may be splattered with crimson.
Battle-hardened and scarred, you’ve now proved yourself to be capable and dedicated. A sacrificial item consisting of anything between a straw doll, a caged leafel, to even another faunid will be brought to you. Use your skills against this item that has been specifically chosen for you. Cain surely isn’t kind in his sacrificial choices and may take this opportunity to use it against you. There is no other option than to succeed.
Congratulations, you are now a proven student and have graduated into a fully-fledged individual capable of things fawns dream of in their nightmares. Go celebrate your newfound freedom any way that you find most pleasurable.

Universal Prompts
Every student everywhere can have some common ground somewhere. No matter where you live or are studying, there’s always something that ties us all together. These prompts are completely optional.
After a very long and tiring day, you decide to retreat to your favorite place to relax and develop your skills without the harsh and critical gaze of your mentor.
It’s natural to form opinions on your mentor. Good or Bad. Sometimes you’re able to hide the awe on your face but it may slip out and get called out every now and then. Or perhaps you’ve been pushed to annoyance and have to gossip to your friends or vent out your frustrations through other means.
Oops! Did you just break something? What was that loud noise? Are you going to own up to your accident, cover it up, blame it on something/someone else, or lie about it and then go home to cry your anxieties into your pillow? You might need to pay for it one way or another to make up for your inexperience.
Studying gets awfully boring. What might be dull and uninviting on a normal day can suddenly be the most interesting thing around you if it means you don’t have to practice your schooling. Eh, you’ll just cram your schooling an hour before the lesson. This other thing takes priority now.
Juggling schooling with life is tricky! Whether you have a fawn to take care of or a romantic relation to tend to, it can definitely get in the way. How can one possibly manage to do both at once? Well, you can certainly try at least.
